Hello, thanks for dropping by...yes that's me, an hopeless romantic. As a child I spent many a lazy sunday with my mum watching vintage films and I would like to share with you some of my favourite ones from that time and which still remain so to this day. There has been modern adaptations for some of them but for me the vintage ones remain the best....looking at the subjects of the films I've noticed that for most they contain a similar theme of spirits, romance and religious figures. What does that say about me..lol....

Vintage Treasures In My Shed....

**************************

**************************

Hello from a very damp Cornwall. With the nights drawing in there is a slight chill in the air as summer draws to a close. All the more reason for me to make time to post on my blogs. Yes I know it's a while since I have done so, no excuse just life...lol..

~~~~~~~
I have just finished watching 'Sleepless in Seattle', don't you just love that film. The moment when they finally meet on top of the Empire State Building and their eyes meet.......I always get emotional at that moment. A feel good movie to watch while relaxing next to an open fire and sipping hot chocolate...mmm..
~~~~~~~

It's sad that we have not had much of a summer. I have so much to do outside before winter sets in. The one good week we did have my niece and her friend was staying so we were busy going out and about...

~~~~~~~
One of the jobs I wanted to get done this year was to continue sorting out my shed and to start some of the many projects I have waiting for me. Over the years I have aquired many things with the good intentions of doing something with them. But like many of my belongings they were packed away in 2008 in preparation for the major building work to be carried out......and like many things they are still stored away. But I did make a promise to myself that I would start to put into practice the ideas I had when I aquired them...Watch this Space..lol..
~~~~~~~

Below are some of my items I found in the outside shed some time ago. Any ideas would be most welcomed...

A Rusty Star I purchased from USA. I know where this will be going once the outside of the house has been painted!!!!

A Once Beautiful Firescreen. The original fabric has gone. I thought I may paint something on this?

An Old Grey Brick

Some Rusty Tools

I Like them just the way they are...

Old Bathroom Stool

Milking Stool

Valor Oven

Do Like a Bit of Rust

A Friend gave me this, I love the frame

Two Old Boxes

Interesting Trio

Don't ask me what I'm going to do with this old BR mailbag

Old Gameboard

Ice-cream Maker

Piano Stool in need of some TLC...

This little caravan needs some colour..

These have been outside for some time...

Wool Teaser from Romania..

They look pretty sharp..ouch..

Love this little cradle. I know who this will be for, my little grandaughter. All it needs is a clean and bedding made for it...

This one however is a large cradle. May have to sell this one, I do not know where to put it...we'll see..

Well I do have some work to do and this is just a part of my 'treasures' (hubby would have another word for them..lol..). I think I will start with the pink cradle, it's the easiest one to do and it can be worked on indoors..
