Spring Will Soon Be Here....

And I am ready for some warmer weather...Hello there, thanks for dropping by. March is already upon us and I can feel the change in the air, lets just hope the saying 'March Winds Will Blow and We Will Have Snow' is just that, a saying....

February saw some birthdays for my family and friends. My hubby Andy had his 54th birthday on the 5th (don't tell him I've told you..lol..) and I celebrated my birthday on the 14th, not saying which one!!! February 26th saw both my brother's 65th and my grandson's 3rd birthday. There were friends in between so it was a busy month for cards and celebrations....

In honour of their birthdays I thought I would show you some of the vintage birthday cards and postcards I have in my collection. With most of them showing floral tributes it would be a nice way to welcome spring...

I do not have a daughter but what a beautiful basket of flowers..

Yellow roses, the colour of spring..

For my brother, though I doubt he would appreciate the floral theme..lol..

Now I would like a basket of flowers like this..

A traditional Key of the Door..

Red Roses for a loved one perhapes?

My son's birthday is in May but I won't send him this one...

My younger sister has a birthday in April

I have another grandson who will be one this month..

A few nephew's birthdays spread throughout the year

A lucky horseshoe

A beautiful card

A proud rose

I called my grandmother Nan..

A daffodil, one of my favourite flowers..

And I called my step-grandfather Gramps...

Roses are a popular flower..

What a beautiful card to receive from a loved one...

Well, I hope these flowers have put you in the mood for spring..

Until next time, take care...Hugs Chrissy xx

Happy Valentine's Day.....

Hello, and a Happy Valentine's Day to you all.....it's a triple celebration for me because it's also my birthday and sixteenth wedding anniversary...phew!!!, at least hubby doesn't forget..lol..

Been a busy day and not the day we planned. I have my two eldest grandchildren staying for a few days and they both came with colds. And yes you've guessed it, my hubby has started one today. Let's just hope I don't develope one too....well back to nursing the little ones, they are so restless with coughing...who's nursing hubby you ask. Well as you know, when they have 'man-flu' they are best left alone tucked-up in bed with plenty of fluids...lol...

I hope you all enjoyed this day and was wined and dined.....

Until next time, take care...Hugs Chrissy xx

Hello From The Attic....

*******************

*******************

Hello there, I hope you have your winter woolies on for it's certainly cold at the moment....brrrrrr. I wear nothing but sandles or similar through out the year and only wear boots when it's really cold. Guess what, I'm wearing my boots..lol..

Hope you all had a good New Year. Ours didn't go as planned, less than five hours into 2012 and another drama occurred. All is told on my blog The Primitive Cornish Hovel. Survise to say a new car is in order!!!!......

I've been busy de-cluttering again and sorting out my bits and bobs, tring to get some sense of order in my house...phew! So for now I thought I would share with you some of my vintage photographs of children and family groups....

This lady sure looks tired..

A charming regal young lady..

Dressed warmly for the cold weather..

A photograph with grandmother..

A family day out..

Proud parents with their beautiful baby..

A smart young man..

Dressed in her finery..

A trip to the park with their furry friend..

A Sunday stroll perhaps..

A charming trio..

A young mother with her baby..

A group of siblings pose for the camera..

Do I smile?..

A smart little chap with his hoop..

A mother finds time to relax with her children..

Until next time take care...Hugs Chrissy xx
