Hello from the Attic. I've not long finished watching The Biggest Loser Couples USA finale. What a group of amazing people. In my eyes they are all winners because to take the first step on the road to lose weight is the hardest thing to do. Then to stay on that road and achieve great weight loss is admirable. It is inspiring and I have decided to embark on that journey myself. After maintaining a healthy weight when I was younger the last few years have been a stuggle for me and the stones have piled on. The only weight I have been loosing the past few weeks is from the ''treasures'' I have collected from the year dot..lol....

The collection that I am more attached to is the one seen below. As a family historian I appreciate the value of what it contains. For this collection I carried out research and complied a detailed geneaogy descendent report from 1823 t0 1966. Before this it was an interesting rare collection, hence my purchasing it. By researching the family however I feel I've got to know them, how they lived and their occupations, etc. I only wish I had such a collection for my ancestors. But alas I have set myself a challenge to reduce my ''clutter'' by at least 50% so sentiment has been put aside....
Below is some of the items from the collection containing imformation relating to the Cannon family of Newington but I purchased it from Brighton, West Sussex where the last couple settled....
Small Certificater Holder 1858. (I have never seen anything like this before nor a certificate this old)
The Marriage Certificate that is Attached inside the above Holder. The Marriage of George Jame Cannon & Elizabeth Jane Cannon March 7 1858 (the certificate is actually cream in colour and made of what appears to be Velum. My scanner caused the browning as seen above)
