Hello from The Attic.....Are you like me and wonder if you were born in the wrong era? I certainly think that considering I like old houses and vintage furniture, etc. And it doesn't stop there, vintage clothing also features in my many passions....

My favourite eras for fashion and decor are the 1920's, 1930's and 1940s. A good platform for exhibiting fine examples of this is seen on the big screen...

With the creation of movies a new set of film stars emerged in the 1920's and 1930's. Not only were they recognized for their presence on the screen actors also became fashion icons....

Whatever the decade, film has always influenced what we wear but for me the 1920's and 1930's are the decades that showed glamour at it's best....

Some of the woman shown here died young but many lived a long life. Regardless of how long they lived they have been immortalized on the big screen....
